Promotion of R&D
Starting from 1st of July 2016 we are working together with Fraunhofer IFF Magdeburg on a concept for the development of automatic systems for assembly processes of large components for railway vehicle manufacturing.
Project focus:
-
Further development of the control and programming concept for welding units
-
Technology development for automated assembly
-
Applications for modern clamping technique
-
Use of automated devices
-
Use of new measurement systems and methods
Starting at July 11th, 2017 we are working together with the Otto-von-Guericke-University on a concept for the development of alternative sensors for seam and edge tracking for automatic welding processes in rail vehicle construction.
Project focus:
-
Development of sensors for tracking welding seams and component edges, which cannot be reliably tracked with optical and tactile sensors
-
Studies on monitoring of gap width and distance regulation
-
Fast and safe evaluation and processing of sensor signals within the own machine control
Project aims:
With the realization of these projects we are striving for a sustainable improvement of the product range, competitiveness, innovation lead and resulting in market advantages for the enterprise.
These projects are financially supported by the European Union.
